Exhibition of the artist Gérard Zaoui from October 5th to 31rst at AnVis Tasting Space
General - rssThe artist Gérard Zaoui, who also is an art and history of art teacher, proposes to us a beautiful exhibition of paintings and sculptures, which is worth discovering.
Gérard Zaoui's works are meaningful but without any artistic nor intellectual constraint, they do not impose a view and let everyone's imagination free to express itself. An art which is easy to understand though it is not figurative so far as painting is concerned, as for sculptures, they can be poetic, which a touch of humor, though they may look strange at first sight.
The paintings which are colorful and enigmatic open the door of the artist's world and invite us to let free course to our imagination.
The sculptures are made from ancient usual objects and resin figures which stand for human being, since they are based on human relationships, the main themes are human being who is imprisoned into the industrialized world and the lack of communication between people.
Gérard Zaoui is the founder of the "Association du Parcours de l’art" in Avignon, which celebrates its 15th edition this month, he partipated to an artists' symposium in Slovakia last September and will exhibit his works in Switzerland at Grancy Gallery in Lausanne from October 20th.
