Exhibition of the artist Isabelle Kingué Makembé, from November 1rst to 30th
General - rssIsabelle Kingué Makembé (artist name: KMI)
Born in Lyon (France), Isabelle Kingué Kingué Makembé has been living in The Pope's Enclave for about fifteen years, she has first lived in Visan, then in Valréas for eleven years.
She created paintings by applying some lime and pigments that she smoothes with pebbles, then she polishes them to give them this particular shine. As for the sculptures, she uses stone that she either lets rough or will coat with the same process she uses for her paintings.
Iron frames enhance her paintings and give them more deepness. Isabelle creates abstract, figurative and ethnic works.
Encouraged by her friends and her family she has been exhibiting her works for only two years.
Uzès : Exhibition « Les 4èmes Journées d’Art ».
Nyons : Exhibition « De nature artistique ».
Valréas : Exhibition à l’Office du Tourisme et à la Galerie « La Vitrine des arts ».
La Rochechinard : Museum: Musée du Royans.
A beautiful and meaningful exhibition of a shy artist who expresses herself easily in arts and deserves to be discovered.
